The usual planning time for a Beyond Boundaries mini adventure is one year. During this time, we will meet with the parents and young explorers, facilitate a one-day training course, ensuring that all team members are equipped and ready to depart on their expedition. Before departure, a comprehensive risk assessment and safety pack will be provided to school senior management for their approval. This pack includes routes in and out of the country, safety information, back-up plans, and staff qualifications.
Each expedition is carefully designed to ensure the maximum enjoyment of the participants and have a minimum ratio of three adults per team. Each team is linked to our UK-based 24/7 operations room via satellite telephones and tracking, ensuring that we know where each of our teams is at any time. With high staff ratios and tried and tested back-up systems, we ensure that the young people in our care are safe, whilst having an amazing experience overseas!
