For the third year running, Alistair Cole has been asked to lecture at the world famous Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine's Travel Health and Expedition Medicine Course.

This five-day course which will be held in February 2010 is aimed at interested health care professionals advising travellers and/or those planning to work as expedition medics.

The course will cover the fundamentals of travel health and expedition medicine and highlight any advances in the field of travel medicine.

In 2008-9, the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge was launched. This badge provides for the first time a national accreditation combining the essential elements of provision - learning and safety - into one easily recognisable and trusted Quality Badge for all types of Learning Outside the Classroom provider organisations. Adventure Lifesigns were proud to sponsor a military team (Captain Mike Holgate and Staff Sergeant Tony Everson) completing in the 2008 Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico, who were raising funds for Help For Heroes. Congratulations to the team who came 23rd and 140th respectfully. Our Managing Director was especially pleased as Mike had been one of his recruits many years ago!

Adventure Lifesigns were happy to sponsor Boardfree in 2006-7 when Dave Cornthwaite decided to skateboard around Australia for charity. Dave said "Only twenty-two months passed between stepping onto my first board and finishing off the Australian journey. 896 miles from John O'Groats to Lands End, and then 3621 miles from Perth to Brisbane, it was certainly the most eventful period of my life".

Adventure Lifesigns are proud to have sponsored the Atlantic Warriors (2005) in their effort to row across the Atlantic. Charles Bairsto and Tom Bright, both 22, are the youngest team to have successfully rowed in the race. Having met in the officer training corps at university, they decided they wanted a gruelling test of their mental and physical capacities. They set their sights on the Atlantic Rowing Challenge, the world's toughest rowing race, rowing for charity.
